pack rats?

nah, were not that bad. we just have LOTS of stuff to pack (even after culling a lot of it out and taking tons of stuff to Goodwill). But we are getting there. I didnt realize we could fit so much into a small two bedroom apartment. And i can honestly say that over time i have become way better at not hoarding things, however i still feel overwhelmed looking around my house right now. Even though this is a pretty boring blog...i took some pics of our boxes. i know, i know... how interesting. Dont get too excited ;)
this is how i am spending my Friday afternoon and i am enjoying it!! Okay, well back to packing.

You may now kiss the bride...

We went to Louisiana this past weekend for Josh's cousins wedding. Yvette and Peter had the most beautiful wedding. and i am bummed about not getting any photos of the bride and groom (Josh got a ton of pictures on his moms camera but none on ours) but they looked GREAT!! Yvette had to be the most beautiful bride we had ever seen. We were excited to see LOTS of family and i got to meet some of them for the first time :) The weather could not have been any nicer and the food was AMAZING! I wanted to post a video of some of the dancing that went on. It was a lot of fun and a nice but short getaway. We also were able to see some friends from High school, Casey and Trey. It was nice to see them, even for a short while.

Always be Golden...

I love this rule and read this just today. I can honestly say, it might just change your life...these are not my words however, i am chosing to live by them.
“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"

"Let's consider an example of how the rule is used. President Kennedy in 1963 appealed to the golden rule in an anti-segregation speech at the time of the first black enrollment at the University of Alabama. He asked whites to consider what it would be like to be treated as second class citizens because of skin color. Whites were to imagine themselves being black - and being told that they couldn't vote, or go to the best public schools, or eat at most public restaurants, or sit in the front of the bus. Would whites be content to be treated that way? He was sure that they wouldn't - and yet this is how they treated others. He said the "heart of the question is ... whether we are going to treat our fellow Americans as we want to be treated."

The golden rule is best interpreted as saying: "Treat others only in ways that you're willing to be treated in the same exact situation." To apply it, you'd imagine yourself in the exact place of the other person on the receiving end of the action. If you act in a given way toward another, and yet are unwilling to be treated that way in the same circumstances, then you violate the rule.

To apply the golden rule adequately, we need knowledge and imagination. We need to know what effect our actions have on the lives of others. And we need to be able to imagine ourselves, vividly and accurately, in the other person's place on the receiving end of the action. With knowledge, imagination, and the golden rule, we can progress far in our moral thinking"

~Sunday Surprise~

Today we slept in and went to the late service at church...expecting it to be just any other Sunday. After church, we had plans to go with our neighbors to Beaverfort park and walk the dogs. We rushed home, changed into "walking the dog" clothes and jumped in their car. The drive out there was nice and we had never been so we were excited. We pulled up and and noticed how many people were there...i believe Josh even said "Wow, this is the happenin' place, huh?"
Soon to realize it was about thirty of our friends!

It was so nice and such a surprise. Connie and Will (our neighbors) had stayed up cooking the night before. We had burgers, hot dogs, potatoe salad, baked beans, cheese dip, cake and drinks. Our Beautiful cake was given to us from Jessica and Nathan! I am guessing everyone enjoyed it, there were no leftovers.

Getting out of the car and seeing all of our wonderful friends there will make leaving Conway that much harder. We have been so blessed the past two years getting to know each of you. Thanks to everyone for making it a really special and anything but ordinary Sunday.

Hey There Delilah...

So, we recently adopted a new dog :) and although some of you might find us to be crazy, thats is A-Ok!! She is fitting in quite well here at the Fay residence. We already LOVE her very much and she has made "her spot" here in our family. And just so you know by "her spot" we mean right in the middle of our bed. She is very palyful and is doing GREAT on her potty training. Today we actually taught her to sit. She is really coming out of her shell and we are enjoying seeing her personality more and more each day. Sam has adapted well to her and insists on being right under her at all times. He does not want her to leave. He likes having a playmate :)
So here are some pictures! until next time <3

New photo update of Ayden Claire!

he will finish nursing school and be a paramedic full time. We are all very proud of him for not only serving our country but for being such a great dad, husband and of course big brother. He is such a terrific person!! WE SALUTE YOU WESLEY...Not only today but forever. We wish him all the best in his adventures.
