fun aunt jill not so fun

Today i found out that my nieces BFF hates me. She reeeeaaaallllllyy doesnt like me (She is five by the way). I thought it was the most hillarious thing when i called and she just happened to be over at their house. I asked to speak to "J" and Kelly was immediately like...

"Jill. i dont think "J" wants to talk to you".

Here i am thinking,

"what in the WORLD? a kid doesnt want to talk to me"??
ALL kids like me (for the most part). I always give them candy when their parents say "NO"!
Just like when i gave Cooper candy corn all the time during Halloween when his parentals didnt know about it (sorry Brad and Amy).


and i usually (key word, USUALLY) will play with them and allow them to do things that the adults wont allow.

I do NOT think of myself as an adult yet.

little did i know, i do not come across as "fun aunt Jill" to EVERY kid.

So...

today i learned not every kid is going to enjoy my company.
oh well, it happens.

National Junior Honor Society

my little brother (who is much bigger than i am) got to "tap" a seventh grader into the honor society. I am so proud of him! This was a big day, irreguardless if he thinks its cool or not :)
I told him that he HAD to go to college and that he HAD to continue making good grades. I know he will.

beach trip 2009

I recently went home to Gulf Shores and spent some time with my Arkansas family who were vacationing there. I had lots of time to see my family and friends and also hang out with my favorite boys, Cooper and Brady. The weather was ok. a little windy, but sunny the whole week. My vacation was very relaxing and it was great to see everyone. Here are some photos.

It is pretty sad when you are too lazy to get out of bed and get on the computer. So this morning I am blogging from my phone in my bed. I have been "twittering" lately and still don't have the hang of it? I'm a little confused by it all. All I can figure out is what Tony Hawk and Ryan Seacrest are up to. I don't really get the point of it. Hmmm...maybe I will keep at it. Happy Saturday
